Welcome to Rooftop Report
The group of people behind this site have three things in common: they love sports, nice design, and data. Well… to be fair, they at least love one of those things. Currently, the group is made up of employees from Splinterworks and Skwintz. The former is a software development firm. The latter a design and front end development firm. Both based out of Nebraska (Silicon Prairie, what what).
Since a majority of our combined work is for private companies, we don’t have a significant public web presence. At least not one we can freely advertise. Rooftop Report affords us the opportunity to put fun things up for public consumption. We fully expect the people involved to evolve over time. In fact, if anybody has an idea they might want to see, hit us up on the Twits (@rooftopreport). Feel free to join the craze of saying “Twits” while you are at it.
This isn’t a commercial endeavor for the people involved. We won’t charge for the information and we won’t put up ads. This is simply a child born from our own little 20% time adaptation. Unfortunately, that means that our production will ebb and flow with our workload, inspiration, and shared interest. Again, follow us on @rooftopreport to get notified of new items.
In the immediate future, we have a graphic that we think you are going to “lol” over and a pitcher’s win tool that is going to help Brian Kenny’s #killthewin crusade break through to even the most stodgy of baseball purists. You should see those over the next 7-10 days.
If you think having us build you some software, graphics, websites, etc. would be the “bees knees” you can contact our respective companies at:
We are in the Heartland. This, stereotypically, means that we are affordable, overly nice, and football crazy. We are in Nebraska. This means someone that lives amongst us owns the Cubs. Do we really need to say anything else?
